Mission
Our mission is to provide a platform for believers and non-believers in the college sphere to engage in dialogue that explores the role of religion in their lives and, ultimately, inspires a lasting response to the Gospel message. We do so by providing support, guidance, and sponsorship to student-run Christian organizations that produce publications and host speaking events and conferences at their schools.

Vision
Our vision is to see pervasive and articulate communication of faith, both as a source of hope and a constant struggle, within and amongst college campuses nation wide. This will be marked by the presence of a faith that transforms and is visible in all realms of life. There will be a wider appreciation and respect for the intellectual rigor of Christianity.

Our Name
In the words of the Christian apologist C.S. Lewis, we think of Christianity that, “it is at her centre, where her truest children dwell, that each communion is really closest to every other in spirit, if not in doctrine.  And this suggests that at the centre of each there is something, or a Someone, who against all divergences of belief, all differences of temperament, all memories of mutual persecution, speaks with the same voice.”  All of us at Vox Clara acknowledge this voice of Jesus Christ and believe that in this confusing, clamorous world, His voice is the only true voice, forming the foundation of our hope and strength.  For this reason, we have chosen Vox Clara, a Latin phrase, which translates as “clear voice,” as the name for this organization.

Statement of Faith
We at Vox Clara profess our faith in Jesus Christ, who, fully human and fully divine, has sanctified those who believe in Him through His atoning death and resurrection.  While we may not agree on all theological issues, we believe that fruitful discussion is crucial in developing a mutual understanding of our respective traditions.  We are united in our belief in the sovereignty of God the Father over all creation, the manifestation of Christ within us as the Holy Spirit, and the authority of Scripture on all issues of faith and salvation.  With the freedom granted to us by God's mercy, we seek to do His will here on earth, empowered by His grace and love.
